Rosemarie Harris with Harris Affordable Housing Group was recently brought on board as a HUD 2530 Consultant for the historic Blackstone AIG merger. The Blackstone AIG merger happened in a strategic partnership that will expand Blackstone’s real estate portfolio and it will strengthen AIG’s position as a leading insurer. The acquisition cost Blackstone $5.1 Billion for the affordable housing assets AIG was in possession of. These assets consisted of 80,000 housing units in 42 different states. Rosemarie Harris with Harris Affordable Housing Group was brought into the fold on this historic transaction to serve as a HUD 2530 Consultant. Rosemarie was asked to help on this huge transaction by Lead Attorney Mr. Orlando Cabrera, Mr. Cabrera is an Attorney representing Arnall, Golden Gregory (AGG) to provide HUD transaction expertise in the merger. Mr. Cabrera had Rosemarie join in due to her knowledge of HUD and HUD transactions, in order to make the Blackstone AIG merger run as smooth as possible.
